Participant waiver and release · Emerald Coast Rec League
1. Assumption of risk. Kickball, swim lessons and the Santa Shuffle are physical activities. I understand there is a risk of injury, including from weather, field and pool conditions and other participants, and I choose to take part anyway.
2. Release. To the extent allowed by Florida law, I release the league, its volunteers, coaches, sponsors and the park from claims arising from my participation, except for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
3. Medical. I am, or my child is, physically able to participate. If I cannot be reached, I authorize the league to arrange emergency medical care at my expense.
4. Photos. The league may use photos and video from games and lessons on its website and social media. Email hello@ecrecleague.com to opt out at any time.
5. Conduct. Be kind to referees, coaches, the other team and the bartender. The league may remove anyone who isn’t, without a refund.
6. Weather. Games called for weather are rescheduled by text. Lightning pauses swim lessons; missed lessons are made up.
7. Refunds. Full refund up to 7 days before opening night or the first lesson; after that, a credit toward a future season.
